I have a voucher for Gerber formula-any kind- that I don’t need. Ro is onto milk now, so I want to see if anyone can use it. I will be happy to mail it out if anyone needs it! It’s $14 off any size Gerber formula, so essentially, a free can. Inbox me with your address if you need some help in the formula dept! I also have a $3 off coupon as well!
I gave her a Baby Mum Mum today and she was SO adorable eating it! She would flick her wrist back and forth, waiving it around while she ate. And then occasionally she would put the wafer in my face like she was sharing! :) I love those things cause it’s near impossible for her to choke on it because of how mushy it gets when it comes in contact with moisture. She can nom on it as much as she wants, and she might bite off a bit much, but she doesn’t choke. They’re also good cause they help teach her how to feed herself. She’s working hard on her pincer grasp, but she’s still unable to grab small things, like the Gerber puffs.
I’ve been taking video of her eating, but my piece of shit computer won’t recognize my camera, so I can’t upload anything.
For my birthday my mom and I are both going halfsies on a new laptop. I’m thinking Mac.
I want to maximize this half thing ;)
Ro went to the doctors office on friday and got her second round of shots….it doesn’t get any easier :(
She weighed in at a whopping 13 pounds, 12 ounces! She measured 26 inches long, and is in the 75th percentile for length and 25th percentile for weight!
It makes sense, because she cant fit length wise into her 3 month old onsies and outfits, but even in those, she has room to spare in the width part. She’s just a lanky little brown babe. So of course, the next step up is either 6 months or 3-6 months depending on the brand. So they fit her perfectly lenght wise, but she could literally fit another baby in there with her.
Her 2 teeth are coming in more and more each day! It’s so weird to see white where only shiny gums used to be!
She’s still on her solids. Her favorites so far are peas (number one) and bananas! Green beans take a close second followed by carrots.
She’s gonna start peaches next!! Or maybe squash…hmmmm
Also I got her a walker! she obviously cant ‘walk’ in it yet, so her tiny little babe legs just dangle….but she loves being in it! She’s also interacting a whole bunch with objects now. Her hand eye coordination is getting so much better, it’s amazing to watch! she also can almost move fluidly from her back to her tummy now!
doing so much….oy
Ro dined on her first ‘solid’ food tonight! she had a tasty appitizer of a 6 ounce bottle (she’s got quite an appitite) And followed that up with about 2 tablespoons of baby rice cereal I fed to her with a spoon!
At first she just kept thrusting her tounge out and pushing the cereal out, but about 10 minutes in, she started pushing her tounge upwards and actually swallowing it! I knew the first time she swallowed it because she wrinkled her face up and looked at me like “WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!?” but then ate it anyways.
Cause she’s, as her dad says, sturdy. Lol, she’s not fat at ALL, she’s just looooong and hungry!
But aside from that, she’s trying really hard to get on a “normal” feeding schedule. She’ll eat 6 oz in the am (she actually ate 8oz this morning and shocked me!) and then 6 oz around 1, and then 6 oz around 7 or so. She’ll have maybe 2 to 4 ounces in between the big feedings, which sounds to me like the formula just isn’t heavy enough to hold her over until the next big feeding. Of course there will be snacks, but she eats those small feedings like two times inbetween each big one. Just seems excessive.
So she’s sleeping soundly now, and hopefully she’ll sleep well tonight and we can have more tasty cereal together!!
Oh, and after she gets the hang of the cereal, I have some carrots, peas, green beans, squash, pears, and apples for her. I got a little overly excited.
Also, once she’s REALLY on solids, I’m making all her food for her. Super excited.
Bug Bug is doing so well! It’s so precious, becasue now she’ll just stare off into space and smile soooo big! I always ask her “Are you peepin at the angels?” :)
She’s eating so much now I feel like! Shes 4oz every 4 to 5 hours…so i guess not that much haha I think it just feels like more when you’re the one washing bottles all day! She’s currently on Enfamil Gentlease, but I have sooo many similac formula things, I think now that she’s older, I’ll try and start her on what’s most bountiful, i.e free.
She can sit up in her Bumbo now for a few minutes before her head starts to slump and she looks dreadfully pitiful. But it’s progress!
I’ve recently bought her a play gym and some activity bars that clip to whatever you want (bassniet, car seat, etc) because she’s been grabbing things and focusing on things soo much. Naturally, however, as soon as she is put in front of the stuff I bought, she stares at the things I didnt. Like the walls.
