Are We There Yet?

My mom’s boxer might have to be put down :(

He has some mysterious systematic disease :( He tore his acl and when they took him in for a consult for surgery, they started running tests on him. He was having a hard time walking on his back left leg (he tore on the right) so they did some x-rays, and he has compressed discs in his back that’s resulted in him having no feeling whatsoever in the left leg. They’re also unsure of the cause of the disease that’s causing things to start shutting down. I guess they have a theory in mind, but that theory will result in $5,000 treatment. My mom said that that’s also not including the $10,000 for surgery to get the discs in his back fixed. The disease might have cause the back problems, so if that’s accurate the total cost will be $5,000. But she says, and I agree, that is the treatment doesn’t give him back ATLEAST 75% of his health/mobility bacj then she’s going to euthanize him. There’s no point in keeping him around while he’s in pain.

I really hope that doesn’t happen! I call him Sissy cause he’s this massive 100 pound boxer, all bone and muscle, who is scared of his own toys. He is the sweetest thing ever and I really wanted him to see Ro grow up. He loves sniffing her and giving her kisses….

I’ve had him for 7 years! He was origionally my dog, but I was a kid and he became my mom’s dog. But I still love him….He’ll always be my sweet sissy :)
